Want to learn parkour in Dundee? The future of DUPK

Hey everyone! Thanks for checking back, yet again! :)

So, Dundee Parkour (DUPK) hasn't been holding any jams/training for over a year now, and I wanted to update you guys on the situation.. I am living out in Los Angeles right now, pursuing a career in the action film industry. California is pretty sweet, and I'm thinking of staying here for at least the forseeable future..

"Fife Parkour Coaching"

They are a relatively newly established group, who run parkour and movement classes in Dundee, and several other cities throughout Fife. Check them out, you'll make some awesome friends and have an opportunity to journey into this awesome sport and way of life!

As this will probably be one of my last posts on this blog, I would just like to thank EVERYONE for your continued support! Thank you for making our group something really special, it was amazing getting to know you all and to train with you through those years! THANK YOU!

St Andrews Spring Gathering & Jam 2011!!

..will be held on Sunday 20th March, 2011!

This will be our third annual spring St Andrews gathering!

Note how the "type" of jam isn't specified. This is because everyone is welcome. We would love to have freerunners, trickers, bboys, and anyone willing to learn come along!

We will kick the day off at 10:30am at our usual meeting place, the St Andrews bus station. The Spring event is always the best one, as the weather turns warmer and everyone is eager to be out training.

St Andrews has plenty of various spots to both trick (grass, beach, sand dunes) and to train parkour.

But remember, this year is not strictly for parkour, we are celebrating all movement! :D

Once again, ALL are welcome! There is no cost, other than remember to bring some pocket money for lunch and bus. Also, bring your cameras!!

If you are coming to this jam from further away, please let me know in advance if you need a place to crash or any other help, and I'll see what can be arranged! The majority of us will be traveling from Dundee, and we will be catching the 9:30am bus to St Andrews. Return ticket from Dundee is £5.20.

On a side note, this will also probably be one of my last big jams in the UK for a while, as I am moving to LA in May. So it would be really great to hang out with as many people as possible! =]

St Andrews Winter Jam 2010 - last updates

Hey everyone,

Tomorrow is going to be amazing!

We are going to meet up at the St Andrews bus station at 11am, and should have an amazing day!

Here are some final pieces of info..

Things to bring: Water, Music, Cameras, Food Money, extra socks, and emergency Warm Clothes!

News and Updates for 2010!

Hello everyone,

It's been an amazing year for our parkour group! I believe we've come a long way in terms of self-development, as well as raising awareness of our discipline.

Thank you to all of you who attended, supported, watched, and made this year as great as it was!!

I've got some news, updates, and the summer schedule here..

Training times for the summer are:

Wed - 12pm at the Overgate penguins in town

Sat - 12pm at the Overgate penguins again

I will also be out training hopefully every single day that the weather permits, so if it is ever sunny and you're up for some training, give me a txt!! (07760 474207)

Training will now be of a diferent format, the Wednesday classes will be run more like an actual class, and the difficulty level will be predominantly for beginners, but might get harder depending on who is able to attend.

Saturdays will be more of a "jam day" where we will run through a warmup, and just spend the day doing random training.

The UK parkour community in general, will have more jams this summer. We are hoping to have a jam in a different city every two weeks, so keep checking the blog and forums for updates!

This summer Rustic is hoping to go to LA for a month, so we will make sure to either let you know if classes are finished, or to appoint someone else to lead them.

The next jams will be in June, starting with either a Kirkcaldy or St Andrews jam!!

Dundee Spring Jam 2010 is almost upon us!!

Hey guys,

Our 2nd annual Dundee Spring Parkour jam is this Sunday!!!

I'm starting training at 10am (so txt me if you want to start early)... but the jam starts officially at 11am at the Seagate Bus Station!!

I hope to see u guys there, please try and come along even if its just for a bit!! We should have more people from outside of Dundee there, this year, so it would be cool to show people our strength of numbers! :D
